Well done Mehrdad Sangi

Mehrdad Sangi, a PhD student supervised jointly by staff at Auckland Bioengineering Institute and the School of Optometry Vision Science, has qualified to compete in the University of Auckland Spark Business Planning 100K Challenge 2015.  Mehrdad is a winner of the SPARK 2014 Chiasma Prize. 

His 2015 challenge project is: Kappa Diagnostics  - reliable, objective and clinically usable test equipment that allow for the measurement and early detection of vision problems in young children.

Mehdrad ‘s doctoral research is focused on automated optokinetic nystagmus detection for use with young subjects. An overall objective for this research project is the development of a stand-alone system for OKN analysis that could be used clinically or for research purposes
